You can have syphilis without symptoms!

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted bacteria infection.

Symptoms of syphilis can include:

• Painless sores on the penis, vulva, mouth or anus that heal in after several weeks
• Rash, often on the hands, feet or torso, weeks to months after becoming infected
• Late stage syphilis can cause nerve problems, dementia and blindness

If you have these symptoms after sexual contact with a partner you should test for STDs.
If you are sexually active with a partner who's history is unknown you should test for STDs.
If you have any doubts after sex, even if you have NO symptoms, you should test for STDs.
